The useful answers, without the fine-print marathon.

What is JobPick?

JobPick is an Australian job platform where you can find roles, build a profile and apply. You can search by role, location, experience and skills, then decide what’s right for you. Pick better.

Is it free to use?

Yes. You can create a profile, search for jobs and apply for free.

Do I have to enter my work history every time I apply?

Thankfully, no. Add your experience, education, skills and CV to your profile, then use that information when applying. Give it a quick check before each application, especially if your availability or work rights have changed.

How does AI Job Match work?

Where available, AI Job Match uses the information in your profile to suggest roles that may suit your skills, experience and preferences. It can point you in the right direction; you still choose where to apply. A match isn’t a job offer, sadly.

Can JobPick help me build my profile from my CV?

Where CV parsing is available, JobPick can pull relevant details from your CV into your profile. Check the result before saving or applying. Even clever software can put the wrong thing in the wrong box.

Will AI decide whether an employer sees my application?

JobPick may use AI to help employers sort, score and review applications. That can affect how applications are presented, but JobPick does not make the final hiring decision. The employer remains responsible for its recruitment decisions.

Why am I being asked screening questions?

Employers use screening questions to learn whether applicants meet the requirements of a particular role. Answer accurately. They may cover things like experience, qualifications, availability or work rights.

Can I track my applications?

Yes. Sign in to see the applications you’ve submitted through JobPick. Employers manage their own hiring timelines, so an application may sit with them for a while. We know waiting is the least fun part.

Who can see my profile and CV?

Your profile isn’t public or indexed by search engines. An employer can see the information you share when you apply for its job. Check any visibility settings shown in your account before making other profile information available to employers.

Does JobPick check my visa or work rights?

Not currently. The work-right information in your profile is provided by you, and JobPick does not currently run VEVO checks. Keep it accurate, including any restrictions on your hours or employer.

Is JobPick free for employers too?

Yes. The generally available platform is free at launch. If we offer paid products later, we’ll show you the price and terms before you choose to buy one. No surprise invoice lurking around the corner.

How quickly can I post a job?

Once your business account and the relevant business or venue details are set up, you can add the role details and publish your ad. A clear title, location, hours, requirements and pay information where applicable will give candidates a much better picture of the job.

Can AI help me write a job ad?

Where available, JobPick can help draft a job description from the details you provide. You review and edit it before publishing. You know the role; the tool helps with the blank page.

Can AI help with screening questions?

Yes, where the feature is available. JobPick can suggest questions relevant to your role, and you can review them before using them. Keep questions job-related, fair and useful. Candidates appreciate knowing what you actually need to know.

What’s in the candidate shortlist?

JobPick can help bring relevant applicants forward using the role requirements and information candidates have provided. Where available, shortlist reasons help explain why someone may be a match. Review the full application before making a decision; a score can’t conduct an interview for you.

Does JobPick automatically reject candidates?

JobPick’s AI assists with matching and screening; it does not make the final hiring decision for you. Set your requirements carefully and review applicants in line with your own hiring responsibilities.

Are candidate qualifications and work rights verified?

Don’t assume so. Candidates provide their own profile and work-right information, and a match, score or shortlist position is not independent verification. Carry out the checks your role and business require.

What does a verification badge mean?

It means JobPick has completed the particular check associated with that badge. It isn’t a blanket guarantee about every detail in a business profile, job ad or application.
